30 weeks, 30 releases

I started this project in order to combat my perfectionism, release music I had been holding onto for years, push myself to create and collaborate more, and show my full range of stylistic ability in my discography.

I pride myself on hybridizing genres, but I felt my online repertoire didn’t represent all I was capable of. Through the project, I learned a lot, took on many new clients, learned how to work more efficiently, and learned what deserved my time as well as what didn’t. This project helped me find a consistency in my own sound that I never had identified and pushed me to commit to finishing music, it showed me that I can create the eclectic genres I want as well as foster a fanbase at the same time, and much more. Next To You (ft. Jesse Bluu & GMT)

This is a song of appreciation and happiness in a time where it sometimes becomes hard to see the brighter side. "Next To You" is based around the idea that everything in the world can be wrong, but as long as you have the one person in your life that makes everything better, then it's all good! Being able to wake up and know your best friend, family, or significant other are there for you no matter what is something worth being happy about and this is a song for them.

I first reached out to Jesse about singing on this song in July 2019 and we later met at the Quadio headquarters in Brooklyn to talk about Quadio. We ended up listening to what Jesse had so far and, by chance, George Taylor heard the song, thought it was “fire”, and continued to rap on the empty verse. Immediately it clicked that that was exactly what the song needed! So we wrote and recorded that hour and then I mixed the song, through dozens of versions, over the next year. The single was polished off by Daksh Bhatia in mastering.

lo Arndt - Taut Baby (ft. Noams)

"Sometimes mental illness can really feel like your only enemy” - Lo Arndt released her inner thoughts into song, revealing a beautiful, tumultuous story of the day-to-day struggles with her mental illness while keeping a positive façade. The chorus catches the listener's ear and opens up a seemingly simple question and explodes into an instrumental break giving the listener time to think and absorb the lyrics. We go from a place of ease and simplicity, to a final drop full of energy and this journey is symbolic of the day to day journey of feelings Lo was experiencing. We hope you enjoy, TAUT BABY!

Blast it (ft. Jesediah)

“Blast It” is purely a song meant to motivate. Whether you’re going to the gym, doing work, running, biking, or anything else, this is the song to go to for energy! With drop synths that cut like knives and drums that are sure to get your heart pumping, it’s hard to resist the energy that “Blast It” brings forth. Even more, Jesediah brings a grit in his words and timbre that bring the song to a totally different level and get you ready to BLAST IT!

“When I was younger, I did a lot of sports and the way that I got into my own head and focused was by listening to music… mostly trap. I’ve always wanted to give that same feeling to someone else in my shoes and so that was the motivation for this track!”

A Day for us EP

A Day For Us is an escape, or moreso, another world to dwell in at any time. My motivation in making music has always been to take the listener into a new space, atmosphere, world, away from earthly problems and A Day For Us is an extension of that space. Instead of a song, it’s a full day for us to experience together, you to experience with your friends, or however you want to take it.

It starts with a “Morning Run”, a quick awakening followed by quick heavy drums and bass to start the day off with a heart pumping, adrenaline filled activity (whatever that may be fpor you, biking, walking, running, swimming, etc.). Then it calms down into the ambience of the day with “A Day In Munich (Interlude)” which focuses on the musicality of the modern world and the sounds inside of it. The ambience breaks and we are thrust into a world of warm atmospheres and beauty with “Ice Cream Sunsets”, wanna guess which time of day that correlates with? Lastly we end with “Above Sydney” a song inspired by light in darkness; the moon, fireworks, luminescents, fire, etc.

The Between EP (an auditory journey through space)

Inspired by the conceptual feeling of floating in nothingness, the Between was created to be an immersive experience. The sound world opens into a dark world with little discernable rhythm and a constantly changing spatial dimension. As the piece progresses, a rhythm is found and the world becomes more apparent then explodes into a warm, bright expansive area. Soon after we feel comfortable in this sound world, it dissolves back into black and we return to the strange world we started in, but with some new flavors. It seems even darker than before; it’s not long before we get abruptly hit with rhythmic synths with complementary percussion before the whole song moves to a very consistent pattern, rises, and drops into a space much more sinister and aggressive than the first dimension. The rest of the piece tells the story of an unfinished journey and leaves the listener wondering what happens next. You decide!

“It actually started as one song, the way both parts start, but I couldn’t decide which route I wanted to go! I ended up creating 2 different projects and as they evolved, they ended up flowing into each other quite well do give that feeling of floating, then slipping into a ‘dimension’, slipping back out into nothingness, then slipping into a totally different world!”

I Love The Day (may his words live on)

Noams returns with a new nostalgic indie electronic vibe track, "I Love The Day", featuring a sample from a home VHS of has late grandfather which inspired the songs title.

It was a home video from my 5th birthday on July 21st, 2003 and my family (grandparents, uncles, siblings, parents) is just sitting on the deck, talking about life. My mom pans the camera over to my grandfather and asks the usual, "what do you have to say Grandpa Jim?". He responds, a twinkle in his eye: "I love the day, and I would just say, it doesn't get any better than this". Immediately when I heard this I knew that I needed to immortalize his memory and happiness in a song. Grandpa Jim loved life and was not only one of the kindest and most caring individuals I've known, but also one of the strongest.

This is a song for him and his reminder that we should love each day for the simple pleasures they hold...

Strangers Remix - Durow

Originally a song by Durow, the Strangers remix bring an explosion of emotion and energy to this beautifully written song based around the feeling of wanting to learn more about someone you found and are entranced by. There’s nothing you want more than to just spend time with them; everyone and everything around is just background noise.

Hyperreal (Noams Remix - Trafton X Noams

I approached Trafton about doing a remix for one of his songs in early December because I thought Hyperreal was PRIME for a remix. The first time I heard the song, I knew exactly how I wanted to remix it, an that’s basically what the remix became. Never before had I had such a clear vision before starting a song.

The first thing that came about was the second, more rhythmic/trappy part of the drop. I focused on his vocals using one to create a synth while others were chopped up for the lead element. One percussive part stuck out in the instrumental and it became a rhythmic bease for the second half of the drop. The first drop, the more open synth one, was made after and was actually my original idea for the remix.
